Draining Carburetor Float Bowls

So I am winterizing my bike, a bit late but I had a lot of stuff to do before.

I filled up a 500ml bottle on one carb before I closed it, and filled another bottle with the other. It didn't look like it was going to stop either. So in total about 1 litre from both carbs combined before I stopped draining both carbs and came on here.

I'm not sure if this matters but before I started to drain them my buddy decided to turn the throttle a few times (bike was off). I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Any suggestions? I couldn't find anything on google....

Thanks,

It sounds like your fuel is still on, there should only be small amount in the float bowl (250ml from all four).

Close the petcock. The float bowls are being filled from the tank, you're draining the tank.
Turning the throttle won't have any impact, good or bad.

You're absolutely right.

Was set to Pri instead of on... First time, first bike dumb mistake... I searched the manual for "petcock" and found nothing before.

On that note. the fuel is in some empty water bottles. We drank the water before hand, any harm in putting it back into the fuel tank?

Yeah figured it out thanks for the quick reply though.
