Pretty sure the bike fell over and the officer laying down is posing for the camera, but still funny regardless.

Anyone recognize where this is?

Pretty sure he's just posing for the picture. It looks like the tires were on the gravel portion of the shoulder and the kickstand on the pavement, which is slightly elevated. The bike would of been pretty centered at that point which makes it really easy to push over. A gust of wind from a passing transport truck could even be enough.

I think someone saw it as an opportunity for a funny picture.

If an officer is down, there is no way another officer will stand there with his cell phone and take pictures, nor would there be fireman chit chatting by their red truck. He may have dropped the bike and posed on the ground from the get off, or its something else, but I seriously doubt he is hurt at all.

Doubt the firetruck etc was there for him. Props to the cops for finding humour in it though. I lolled

It might be a drill for how to scrape a motorcyclist off of the shoulder.

It seems to happen quite frequently. You'd think that people who ride them would start to realise that they need to stay in the seat and keep the rubber side down.
