Watch your mirrors and stay in safe positions.

What the hell was that !?!

I am guessing a "electronic device" was in use by the driver of the pick up...

Saw this video already, as you can see the bikes and the Altima are pulled over.
Apparently it was a funeral procession and it's common courtesy for traffic going the opposite way to stop down south.

Still pretty ****ed up, though.

I'm not so sure on that funeral story that is being fed for this video. Why would the Nissan stop if it was going other direction and also passed the lead part of the group?

My theory is the cameraman is riding with friends but they were broken up. Friends pull over to wait. Nissan doesn't understand, brakes. Person in pickup not paying attention ahead of them far enough, too late, slam.

I pull off and wait for friends when we get broken up by cars or lights, but I tend to believe I do so in safe places like parking lots or full size shoulders, not skinny ones like in the video.

Can't read it now, at work. I'll check it later.
Either way, the rider was very lucky. Does it say anything about the drivers of the Nissan and pickup? That's gotta be some nasty whiplash...

It's common practice in Windsor Essex County and this is why stopping is stupid. We should be respectful but stopping isn't safe

What was the truck near the beginning of the video doing? He's like halfway into the oncoming lane..

You can hear the lady (White car) saying it. No matter how you slice it, it's the trucks fault. Nissan shouldn't have stopped... if they meant to pull over, they could have passed the bikes and pulled over safely!

It's pretty common in most places outside of the city really... I pull over and wait for them to go by.

This video is why I tell the GF to hang on even when we come to a stop. I watch my mirrors until the guy behind me is stopped.

Hm... normally I would be in the left tire track (in this case). Should I be reconsidering and do as the rider(s) in the video?

Honestly, I think the rider just got lucky. Looks like he pulled to the side like his buddies ahead of him.
I would have been in the left track as well with enough space to get out of the way and watching my mirrors, especially since that isn't an expected place to be stopping.
