Just recently there was a thread about where you can donate your used helmets.

I know i post up once ever so often looking for helmets to pass along to the fire dept for training purposes.

I had quite a few people come up to me over the weekend at Mosport asking me about it.
So if you have a used/crashed helmet that you want to part with and donate it, send me a message. I will provide you the information via PM on how to do so.

Thanks.

Just to update this post further due to some questions.

The helmets must be complete, built within the last 7 years or so. Without a helmet liner its no good as its too loose for fitment for training.

Visors are needed at all, but if it has one on it thats scratched up etc leave it on.

If the helmet took major damage to it, ie the whole bottom piece below the visor is gone, throw it out. lol.

Thanks to those who helped out so far.

I guess it is obvious that a 3/4 probably doesn't need to be donated as it has no chin bar.

But why does one need to send a PM to get information? Do they have too many helmets already?

Ummmm i guess its obvious that i mean the lower portion of a full faced helmet, is gone due to an accident its no use to us.

One needs to send a PM, to get information. Im not sure how much more clear i can be, and if we had enough why would we ask for more?

You take your meds this morning? lol.

All I'm saying is that if third parties are interested in donating it is easier to point at a thread or webpage that says "this is the procedure" rather than "register for GTAM, send infernobuster a message and wait for a reply for information if he sees it and has time".
