Do you own a 2015 Ninja 300 ABS?? I have a quick question...

OK so part of my choosing the 2015 model was all the hype and reviews about the new sporty Dunlop TT900 GP Tires that its 'suppose' to come with...but picked it up at the dealer and they are IRC Road Winners which online says 2013/14 models.

I honestly don't care if IRC is stock - but just want to make sure dealer didn't swap them out on me. I left a message with Kawi, but until then I thought id ask you all :)

Would the dunlop only be available on the US models? OR possibly Kawi changed the tire brand upon release of the 2015 model?

If you have a 2015 Ninja 300 ABS - please let me know what tires he/she came with!

Thanks!

I know I'm not answering the questions exactly as posed, but:

My 2013 Non-ABS Ninja 300 came with IRC Road Winners. I've put nearly 10,000km on them and they've been fine. Lots of rides up north on twisty roads at spirited paces - no knee dragging though. Rear tire should be replaced after a few more thousand km I think.

I wouldn't put much thought into the tires. I also had a 2013 300 with those Road Winners. They kept up just fine with the SS bikes on spirited group rides through the twisties. The rear was replaced around 13000, and was did very well for daily commutes. I still have the original front at 17000 and will likely be replacing it in another 1-2k. Some people do ***** about the road winners, but it's not a terrible tire for street riding. This is especially true if you are new. They work fine, so I wouldn't avoid the bike due to a tire aimed more towards street riding/touring VS track. No idea what the 2015s come with in Canada though.

My 2013 has the road winners on it. They were fine until I sold it at about 12k kms on them. They were still pretty fine at that point. i wouldn't worry about it, just ride. If you really care, make a call to Kawi.

Thanks, Everyone! Kawi called me back apparently the US gets Dunlops - Canada IRC...my question solved :) LOVE the bike regardless!

don't worry about it too much...stock Dunlops these little bikes get are just as garbage as IRC's
