Do you like motorcycling? How about skiing? Then you'll like this!

I was hoping you had snow bikes now. That thing was interesting though. Think the police would give you a stunting charge as you only had one wheel on the road?

Yeah, the snowbike thing had to be put on the back burner as other purchases took precedence. I'm not a F-n baller GTA-homeowner, y'know? Looking like a Winter 2022 thing at this point.

As for the one wheel thing in the video, I think he does have two wheels on the bike, the skis are just out-riggers which come down and up when needed:

My problem with that was when I had the ape out in similar conditions, even at idle it would be spinning the rear. It's quite tiring to try to keep up.

More info on here about the tires: Motorcycling to the Coldest Place on Earth: Part 1 - Mad or Nomad

You can only purchase basic winter tyres on the market today. I wasn’t that impressed with them so decided to use a pair of Continental TKC 80s and fitted 700 12mm long spikes into them in my own design. They’ve worked very well on my previous trips and I’m going to use them for this one too.

You can kind of see the spikes in this pic:

Yeah, knobbies in snow aren't enough, even the softest rubber won't provide as much grip as studs will.
agree.
however, as a younger man we had a group of us (5-6) who rode sled trails on our trail bikes. none of us had studs, just fresh knobbies. the trick is to stay on trails that have been well packed by sleds.. its like spinning up loam lol.

the other trick is to be far enough north that crown land is not designated to sled trail groups !

Maybe just get a real sled for winter.

Lots of people have trouble accessing trails without a trailer. I don't know how militant enforcement is on studs. Assuming you kept throttle under control, I don't think small studs on a bike would tear up a road. I suspect you are less likely to get a ticket on that thing than a snowmobile driving around.
