Does anyone know of a local company in the GTA that does DLC coating? Id like to have some forks done locally...

No idea, there are about a thousand other things I'd spend my money on before I'd get that done, but it seems like Johnny has an unlimited budget for his builds

It's actually for me, he's powder coating my forks amongst other things in black so I asked him if he can do the chrome tubes as well...
Can't powder coat them, can't anodize them, the only solution is DLC... Which is ****ing expensive!!!

For anybody whose looking to get this done, you can get them for $225/each (chrome part only) at DLC Company in Vaughn.

Its not unlimited I just spend what money I have on bikes, other people have other hobbies and habits to feed, where as I just do bikes....

Im not going to pay $1000 just for DLC thou, Id rather put in more and get aftermarket forks at that point...I had a set done years ago in like 04 and it cost me $400, it wasnt black thou, more like a purple...I was hoping for a cheaper source, for Mina and myself....If it was around $300 Id do my set also...

You can kinda see them here

My forks come with the coating (08 Gsxr 1000) and it has some scrapes in it from wear. Probably cheaper to buy used forks.

Thats what I suggested a set of 06 GSXR 1000 forks would be cheaper, and should slide right in

Can't you just get new fork tubes from racetech in whichever colour you want?

The only year not listed on their site is his year 06-07....And even so they want $421 each each for black ones anyways...That double what he can have his coated for locally..

$450 isn't too bad, but by the time you add up the cost of powder coating, dlc, new seals, oil, rebuilding the forks... Etc I'm guessing your probably looking at close to $1000, getting close to the same price as a 30mm ohlins kit. Doesn't look as "cool" but everyone got their own likes...
