DIY Helmet Back Pack

That seems like a horrible idea.
The helmet is loose, so it will move around. If you go down, it is a loose projectile that is tied to you.
 
Bad idea. The helmet becomes a fulcrum point to lever your spine into two pieces of you go down.
 
I think the video is trying to show how to carry a helmet when you are off your bike rather than how to carry another helmet while you are riding.

Other than the fact that the end of the video is him on a motorcycle, riding.

Well, my bad. I didn't reach that part of the video. The last thing I saw was him standing wearing a helmet while showing how he carries the other helmet in his backpack; I found it cringy and closed the video.

Still, I might give it a try when walking around.
 
For off the bike I'd say this is pretty interesting. For on the bike, not so much.
As pointed out above, there are better products out there for riding with an extra helmet.
