Got a disobey stop ticket at a( 3way stop , stop sign in residential area)
changed my address 3 weeks ago, handed officer license and insurance but forgot to hand paper from MOT with address change
so ticket issued has old address which I moved from a month ago.

could care less about the fine it is the 3 points ,

occured to me after I drove away that I forgot to show him the paper of change, do they not check on the systems in the cars ?

thanks

Its attached to your License Number so it will stick.

Points are meaningless really its the insurance that will get you.

Uhh.. points don't mean anything to insurance. They are only for MTO purposes.

Insurance cares about convictions. A disobeying stop sign offence is a conviction that will go against your driving record.

Why do people not know insurance don't care about points?

All jumping to conclusions. How do you know OP's license isn't on the verge of suspension due to excess of demerit points? :p

Thanks for the replies, this is all new to me, have never lost points so this is a first
my concern was points and insurance but it seems that it will not make a difference at all, learn something new. figured it might get thrown out

guess I'm paying it

thanks

You get points, not lose them. If you get 6 you get an interview with someone to explain why you should be allowed to keep your license.

You need more than 6 points before they give you an interview.

My apologies. Thanks for pointing that out with the correct information.

From http://www.ontario.ca/driving-and-roads/understanding-demerit-points

2 to 8 points:
You will be sent a warning letter.

9 to 14 points:
Your licence could be suspended. You may have to attend an interview to discuss your driving record. At this meeting, you will need to provide reasons why your licence should not be suspended.
