Just received my disclosure for a speeding ticket in a provincial park. I was hoping someone has experience in what to look for in the disclosure to try and get the charges dropped. Thanks

Edit out the personal info (yours and officers) and post the disclosure here.
Give details minus the exact location.

The arm chair paralegals and lawyers will be out in droves.

What he said^

Who gave you the ticket?

So here are the officer's notes:

Vehicle Stop - Motorcycle plate # xxx-xxx
Driver identified valie Ontario Drivers License, Name & Address, DOB

I was on the road to main beach parking facing main road when I observed a motorcycle(driver & passenger) driving southbound on main road travelling at what appeared to be a high rate of speed. I pulled out to follow the motorcycle. I was travelling at approximately 60hm/h when it was 506 car lengths ahead of me. I observed the motorcycle pass a Toyota approximately 40-50m before the 4-way stop, after which point I passed the Toyota(after the 4-way stop) with my emergency lights on in order to pass. I was travelling approximately 85km/h for 300m matching the speed of the motorcycle 3-4 car lengths in front of my vehicle. The pace distance was approximately 300m before I executed the vehicle stop just north of group camp road on main road heading soutbouth. I exited my vehicle and requested a driver's license, onwership and insurance from the driver and notified him he was being charged with speeding. Mr. X was apologetic and compliant. While serving Mr. X his offense notice, I requested that he remove his helmet while looking at the photo on his license, I was satisfied it was him. The motorcycle was a 2000 White Suzuki G60. I explained the options on the back of his offence notice and then returned to my vehicle. He was compliant.

**On a sidenote, he didn't explain the options on the back of the ticket, once he gave it to me he went back to his car and once inside, I guess he remembered so he peaked out and asked if I've ever been pulled over before and if so my options were on the back.

***I wasn't aware Suzuki made G60's haha

Were you on Highway 60? Were there speed limit signs at the location you were paced at?

I was in the camp grounds at Sibils Point park by Lake Simcoe. As far as I can recall its a max 40km/h. When the park ranger pulled me over and I asked him how fast I was going he said I was really 'cooking it' and mentioned it didn't matter how fast as long as I was over the allowed 40km/h

So what did the ticket say that you were going above the sped limit?

I got my disclosure in form of a CD and a photocopy of the notes. The format is .AV and wouldn't play on any player. The cd has a PDF on Avviewer panasonic but i can't seem to find it. Any idea how to play the video?

I'll try taking a stab at the officer's claim... So the officer says he paced you at 85 km/h for 300 m between the stop sign (assuming at the main interior intersection) and "group camp road". I don't know where the "group camp road" is exactly but I do know the group sites are on the west side of that road behind the bushes and trees that line the road. The distance from the stop sign to the southern boundary of the group site area is only a few hundred metres to begin with. Assuming this group camp road enters the middle of the group site area it could be a lot less and might make the officer's statement implausible. You'd need to identify this road he speaks of though because I can't locate it on a map, then trace the distance with google.

Downloaded it. It doesnt play but gives the following error.

Unable to create video window. Error: class not registered
REGSVR error: Error code from regsvr: 5

now what?

Download and install the latest version of Active X and the latest video driver for your computer/video card.

Barring that submit a new request that includes the necessary software to view the file, of a download link where it can be obtained.
