Dirty cops involved in tow truck racket

The practice is blatantly obvious, but I think there's a lot more to these charges than just tipping off tow trucks about crash sites.

Each officer faces one count of breach of trust and secret commissions. Assaad is also accused of obstruction of justice, providing unauthorized access to confidential police databases and conspiracy to commit break and enter and theft while Putinski faces one count of fraud under $5,000.

I drove a tow truck in high school, there were NO police shenanigans. However pre cell phone, you coulkd pull drunks out of the buckwheat and they would give you large dollars to look the other way. Nobody took plate photos or ratted you out.
Basck when drinking and driving was a lifestyle in rural Ontario
