I just got my first bike in almost 30 years, and it is a dual sport. I got a WR250r about four months ago and ride it exclusively back and forth to work every day.
I grew up riding bikes in BC. Nothing special, but went out my door and started to ride from there. I can't do that in Toronto (east york).
I'm itching to get it on some dirt, but do not know anyone that has a trail/dirt bike to buddy up with that knows the area well and can show me spots in Toronto area.
I'm OK to go by myself, but would much prefer to find others to go dirt riding with. It's more fun that way!

Any dual sport riders here from East York area?

I can't really speak for the TO area, but just a bit north in Simcoe you'll find tons of stuff. Check out the OFTR website as well. There's some oddball laws about off-road riding around here ;)

Thanks mates!
I know there is places to go, but going by myself would not be as fun. plus I'm not familiar with where, and what, is needed to go riding. I need to get a friend involved in off-road. I have a buddy with a Harley, but those bikes don't seem to do very well in dirt. :D

I've seen some guys take some older UJM's into the dirt, outfitted with knobs, but never a chromed out HD :)

Check out the Dirt/SM/DS section on the site, you might be able to get in on a Ganaraska run with someone here. Google for "ODSC" as well, they're another DS group that plans tons of rides, but it's not Toronto only. Otherwise, I can PM you when the DS guys I run with are doing something up here.
