Hi guys,
A month ago, I posted that I was working on an app for BlackBerry for motorcyclists. I've put that on the backburner for a little while, while I take care of some things.
In the meantime, I've been working on this app for the BlackBerry PlayBook called Desktop Bridge. It's a bit of an experiment on my part, and hopefully a way to get a revenue stream going.
In short, Desktop Bridge allows you to access BlackBerry Bridge on any machine with a web browser. That means that all of your e-mails, contacts, calendar, and even BBMs are accessible on your PC. When you're back at the office, hard at work, you no longer have to reach for your BlackBerry or PlayBook to respond to messages or access your PIM data. Your hands stay on your keyboard, letting you respond quickly with minimal distraction.
You can check out the product page at http://www.pulsecode.ca/desktopbridge/. You can also check out the updates on twitter, under the twitter name @PulsecodeEng. If you need/want more info, don't hesitate to ask. The app should be available on App World by the middle of the week.
Would love feedback from you guys. Thanks!
Note: Before anyone asks, yes, this requires that you own both a BlackBerry PlayBook AND a BlackBerry phone.
