My fiancee and were trying to get some quotes from them too. They gave a great car insurance rate, but absolutely ridiculous rates on our Harleys (which they consider 'specialty bikes').

Yo, that's what I am trying to do - to switch my car policy to them.
I got my car on parking insurance from SF at the moment and wanna get the new one with D. as quick as possible, but they are not as quick though :sad8:
i'm with desjardins as well, found it to be the cheapest for auto insurance. They wont let me put bike to my insurance because i am under 25... and i am not sure if they insure sportbikes i know for sure CBR 125 works.
Sure, but is your bike insurance also with SF? Cuz I know in my case we were only able to get our current bike rates if we also insured our car with them. If you take your car off the policy there's chance they'll either ditch your bike insurance or hike your rates.

So far, Desjardins did screw me up. They were making the paperwork over TWO weeks, dammit:banghead:! So I just started my new car insurance with the Balairdirect - 30 min phone conversation and everything is done! A little bit higher rate than Dejardins offered though. But lower than SF wanted
I put my car with Dejardins a year ago. My bike was with SF.
Over 3 years my bike insurance with SF kept going up and up and up until I got sick and tired and shopped around. Duffy and Dejardins offered similar amounts. Dejardins was a little more but the convience of one Insurance payment made it worth it.
I then found out that I get a corporate discount through work and they moved me to Personal. So far so good.
