Demo days for the rest of the summer

Hello there guys,

I've seen a lot of info on the forum about demo days for the first half of the summer but I haven't seen anything recent. Are they any demo days coming up soon? I went to the last Brampton Powersports demo. It was a lot of fun. Now I just wanna see how that GSXR600 feels comparing to CBR600RR or R6. Would love to try some streetfighters as well. So if you guys know about anything coming up pls share. Thanks

Heres your heads up budz, August 13 Yamaha is back at at Brampton PowerSports for another Demo day. We are creating the ad and will post it on our websites tomorrow and then will start a thread up about it.

Are Yamaha going to make those of us with an M2 go home? Last time I went out to one in Whitby and was told that those with an M2 couldn't ride a sportbike. Ok, so no R6 or R1. But they wouldn't even let me ride the FZ6R or FZ8.

Decided then and there that I wouldn't be buying a Yamaha. I may reconsider if this policy has changed.

Just found out today about the Demo tour coming back and will have to look into all the rules tomorrow and talk to the rep. We should have all of the rules, map and information posted by tomorrow the earliest. I will do my best to suggest customer opinions to the Yamaha rep about how the public felt the Suzuki demo day went so they can use that information to better their demo day. Will be starting up a thread about it tomorrow so keep your eyes open or check our websites for the info www.bramptonpowersports.com or www.bramptonpowersports.ca

Awesome, thanks for keeping us in the loop.

GHarvey, I'll tell you this. The Suzuki demo day was well-organized and run, it really just needed a) more twisties b) less time in between rides so that more people could ride.

But the one thing it did was make me aware that Brampton Powersports exists! I had no idea, and I live in Brampton. My dealer for my bike is Kahuna, and will continue to be just because you guys don't deal with Kawasaki parts. I'm really impressed with the communication and presence on the board, and the professionalism at the dealer. Well done guys, keep it up and you'll be earning plenty of regular customers.

Have a route map and stock photos of the bikes up on our website now FYI!

Why are you asking Yamaha for clarification on their rules if Brampton Powersports is providing an FZ6R and requiring an M license for it? There's so many reasons not to buy new, you guys are just excluding even more people from the pool of potential buyers. Basically if you come to this thing with an M2 you get to ride a 250 cruiser? Awesooooome...

Why do so many people complain about not being able to ride supersports with an M2? If this is your first season, then it's probably for the best. If it isn't, then what's stopping you from getting an M?
If I had to guess, I'd say this restriction is likely due to insurance reasons. Just a guess though.

Yup, its an insurance thing for Brampton PowerSports and we have no control over the manufacture restrictions on their rules. Trust me, if we could, we would love to allow everyone to try every bike they want, but its not that black and white. After all, demoing bikes arnt to common but we understand how important it is before you make a purchase and Brampton PowerSports is working on getting the proper insurance to meet the public demand, but honestly cant see that happening until next season at the earliest. I am sure you can imagine how expensive it is and that Brampton PowerSports has not even been open for six months and needs to turn a profit before they can jump on that. I guess aside from getting your M for insurance purposes people should be grabbing it so they can attend demo days and not have to worry :D

The Yami dealer in Peterborough must have a different insurance company... I was let on the FZ8 Fazer and the Roadstar (1900cc cruiser). Not ONE person even took a look at my license. (This was on their demo day yesterday)

what's with the no beanie helmets also?

Pretty sure they just want to avoid someone getting smacked in the face with a bug and loosing control of their bike lol.

whats the difference then between a beanie and a regular open face when being smacked by a bug?

I was kidding, and I guess nothing. But I know your supposed to have full gear including a full faced helmet and eye protection for insurance reasons.
