I have never done this before so your input would be helpfull. Im thinking of using a surgical scapel blade and a blow dryer to heat it up. Then some Goo Gone if still some adhesive?

Sounds about right, I would grab some needle nose as well to help hold the decal as it get spretty warm on your fingers with the hairdryer right on them.

1 - Hairdryer
2 - Beer to drink while waiting for hair dryer to heat it up enough
3 - Hands to pull off
4 - wd40 to wipe off any excess stickiness

Make sure it is really hot so that you can pull it all off at once, it is a pain when it starts to rip into little pieces.

Easy peasy.

You have to be VERY careful with a heat gun, I've seen new factory paint lift off with the sticker

i would consider using a thin hard palstic scraper over a sharp metalic blade, you might leave some marks in the clearcoat/paint if your hand slips.

Would these process work for a tank protector too? I want to get mine's off

it should be easier because they are thicker easier to lift up go slow peeling and soak with goo gone safer than lighter fluid less chance of damaging seat

thx, I'll give those a try

tank protector, lift up a corner, grab firm and pull off......
Wipe off residue with goo gone. (works great)

decals use a hair drier. You'll get a feel of how much heat you need. you may find what works best is heat then remove heat, and peel.
