Dec. 23rd ride into work...nice and clear..probably better than most October days...

Well rode in again today...and the the ride in was fantastic, traffic was moving swiftly due to many off work today. I did minimum 120-130 all the way in from 401 & Morningside to Bay & Bloor exit. Now the weather was around -2 (-6 with wind chill). But my fingertips kept warm still. Usually by the Bay & Bloor exit they would be breaking off cold.

What happened different today was I took DVP all the way up, usually due to the DVD bottle neck, I exit DVP at Lawerence and take Don Mills HOV Lanes to DVP bypassing the bottle neck.

So what occurs to me is that it's not the wind alone that freezes the finger tips, its the brake and clutch which are freezing cold and constantly using them on local roads more than the highway the cold seeps in through there....I suspected this before but never really put much thought to it and blamed the wind hitting the front, but today this confirms that cold aluminum is the culprit more than the wind.

Anyways....today and possibly for the next few weeks the traffic will calmer due to the holidays so it's gonna be nice riding in, I think after the holidays if the weather lingers below -5 I'll pack the baby up for winter, until then I think I'll be riding right into January for sure!!!

Happy Holidays folks!!!

I wish I didn't have so much to do...Being a construction worker a van is my giant toolbox.
I'd rock the bike today, no question. I do not fear the cold!
