Pictures would help (for voting purposes only)... Best thing to do would be to try them both on and buy the one most comfortable (assuming they both offer similar protection).

my $.02

I have the torque out's, they're very comfortable, very protective and look decent when you're off the bike...
Heating hasn't been an issue...
My favorite feature about this boot is that the zipper is in the middle of the boot from the back, which makes it super easy to put on and take off. I tried on a pair of A*'s and they were such a hassle because the zipper was on the side of the boot, hated it.

Overall I would rate this boot 9/10... Probably get the Puma's when I'm done with these because they look like they offer more protection...

I would wear the boot that fits my feet/legs the best and offers the best protection for what I can afford.

I wore a set of Torque this year, great boot.

But i should have saved a few more pennies and bought a pair of Daytonas.

Puma....they make soccer boots as well......

I keep hearing that Daytonas are the boots to have... How come?

Go to riders choice and try a set of Daytonas and Dainese on.

There are also countless threads about Daytonas on this site.

I own the Torques already and have a pair of Pumas flat2 v2 that I wear to work.
I think the price of the Daytonas is something silly like 1000$?...
I'll look into it, thanks.

I bought Dainese Torque boots from Riders Choice, wore them around the house to break them in. They were so stiff, I could not shift properly or work the back brake with any feel, and just seemed like they would take alot of breaking in.

The next day I went back and returned them and paid the difference for Daytona's, they didnt require any break in at all and the same size fit me perfectly without hurting my feet....The comfort and ability to ride in them right away without break in was worth the extra $200 or whatever it was for me...

I they're going for 5-600, wouldnt be a bad deal... considering the quality (based on what I've read).
But I thought they were more money than that!

when i was shopping for boots, i went in to try the torque in and torque out. but ended up with axial. it seems to be a bit wider which makes it more comfortable. it did require a bit more coin than torques though.

Their top of the line Security EVO is $1000

I bought the EVO sports, I think they were $600

Good thing is you can buy the liners separate, so if you rash up the outside you can replace them

I've also read about the replacement parts...
Something to consider when I'm done with my torques...
Thanks for the suggestion.

Im not sure what TRQ Race are......but I have Torque In's for the street and Torque Pro's for the track.

Great boots! Very comfortable and not overly flashy.

Needless to say, the Torque Pro's are slightly "better" as they have an inner boot with drawstring pull system, adjustable calves and are built sturdier with some extra protection here and there, they look better, but they cost more too!

If I could just choose one pair overall, Id take the Pro's.

I am strongly Considering the Puma 1000 as well. The challenge is finding somewhere in the east to fit them. Also the price But your reasons for considering are the same as mine. I saw them ebay a guy out of Quebec is off loading a ton of the @ $220 cad

I was looking at high protection boots for the street and finally decided on SMX+. I'm very happy with my decision. Great fit, very comfortable and good protection (as far as plastic is concerned).

I've tried on the TRQ and they weren't very comfortable, very nice look and easy to put on though. If they fit you well it could be a good pick up.

I haven't tried on the 1000 v2's but I've tried on the normal 1000's. They were the same as what I've heard about them, very bulky, heavy and difficult to put on. Did not fit my foot at all. Keep in mind more people buy the v2. Maybe they are significantly better.

What about the Dainese Axial Pro? I have a pair on order to replace my Sidi Vertigo Lei (the ankles have gotten mushy and worn in after a few years of wear). The Axial Pro can slip underneath your leathers. They also seem ridiculously substantial and very protective from side twist, which is what I'm most concerned about.
