Dainese Joust gloves----how should they fit?

So I bought my first pair of gloves last night......Dainese Joust in a Medium. My concern now is if I should have bought a size smaller since the leather will loosen up a bit with wear.

Should the gloves be tight or comfortable?

Does anyone else have the Joust? Just wondering if the gloves provide little wrist bone protection for you as well.

Thanks!

Comfort first and foremost IMO. They should be snug but definitely not 'tight'. Can you open your thumb and index finger wide?

Tight. As a general rule leather stretches as much as it reasonably needs to. Not so tight that your hand goes numb, but I'd rather go a little too tight than a little too loose (also, there's a joke in here somewhere)

I see what you did there. :D

leather will stretch but there isn't much to stretch in a glove and in really good gloves the kevlar thread doesnt give at all. They should feel pretty nice leaving the store.

my joe rocket cheapie newbie glove stretched a LOT after a few weeks of wear. (should have bought a size smaller)

my Alpinestar GP Tech gloves (high end) barely stretched at all (should have bought a size larger). Although snug, they're okay once on, but are a bit of struggle to get on on a hot day after sweating while riding
