Hey guys, Ive been thinking of cutting down my yoshi rs 3 titanium oval pipe to make it a little louder. I ve searched online and it doesn't seem that easy. Has anyone done it here?? Or anyone that can do it for a small price... (someone who knows what they are doing ofcourse)...Thanks!

try Stunters INC, t hey do a lot of this stuff...

I would think it just includes drilling out the rivets up top. Removing the inside and cutting it down. The drilling new holes for the rivets to go back in.

The problem is i dont have these tools :(.. im going to call stunters inc and see what they say!

they would do it....i think about 1 hour worth of labour.

These stunter inc guys dont even pick up the phone =/ ... i talked to one of them yesterday (after like 5 trys) and he said they would call back with the price in 10 minutes... nothing yet.

$150 stunters inc.. wtff?? Alright time to get the tools!

FYI it usually takes 2 hours, and if you want to do it nicely you need some industrial quality tools....Besides that the biggest pain in the *** with shortening exhausts is dealing with the fiber glass packing. Once you open it, it gets everywhere and can make you itch for days...Also there is alot of liability cutting somone brand new exhaust can in half, obviously for that price its going to look like it came like that with no scratches on it at all.....

I dont even really like to do them, but if people really want it done thats the price....I just did one not too long ago for another member here....He had no problem with the price, and I had it done for him within 2 days...I'll try to find the tread where he was asking, it was a Yosh for a 09 ZX6R...Seen him on the road after and it looked and sounded great...

Well the thing is its a yoshi rs 3 pipe..not in the greatest condition.. pipe is probably worth 200-250 itself.. Thanks for the input!

Then give it a go yourself, its not very technical at all. Its just a pain in the *** to do, and most people dont have to tools to do it really cleanly....Another thing is sometimes its hard to find the right rivets in small packages, sometimes I have to buy a box of 100 just to get the right ones...

Yea ill seee what happens! going to gather the tools. Maybe you can do it for me for a little cheaper ;)

Stunters inc are charging you a resonable rate, but they will do a A+ job. Not just a hack job.

You get what you pay for.

If you want it done for cheaper, just PM me I can do it for you...its just a hassel to repack it

If i was dealing with a new pipe i would deff go with them. But its not.. I will send you a pm just now!

I'd like to know how much louder it gets after you do it

Really depends on what bike its for, alot of new bikes have catalytic converters and dont get much louder at all when cut because the cat is what is really keeping them quiet

Like an 06+ R6 you can pull the exhaust can competely off the bike and it wont change much
