Cut off

Maybe not plenty of time, but lots the rider could have done to try to avoid or minimize the collision. Doesn't look like he braked very hard....at least not with the front brake or he's used to mostly using the rear brake. Looks like he target fixated on the rear of the car too instead of trying to avoid and go for an opening.
 
Dude was doing ~85mph approaching nearly-stopped traffic. He should have anticipated bone-head moves by other people and slowed down.

Another example of a rider in the right but, could have anticipated and avoid a collision.

Definitely would have slowed down approaching traffic. Would have covered the brakes. Would have moved to the left if there wasn't room to stop. Yes, the wall was there but, think they could have squeezed beside the car.

The car is totally in the wrong. No doubt. But, you can't ride a bike with the same mentality as driving a cage.
