I want to purchase and import a used industrial machine from USA.

The plan is to cross the border and trailer it back.

I'd like to say that its for personal use, but its not, and the machine clearly looks like its not for personal use.

So anyone in the industry? know how to proceed? So far i've found out the HS Code and there is no additional duty even though its built in Europe.

I'd love to just cross the border and pay my 13% on the way back and call it a day, dont think it will be that easy.

Call a customs company it will need to be cleared I use affiliated customs brokers. Last time I checked it was very difficult to bring commercial products across the border unless you are a registered carrier.

A good broker may be able to save you money by describing the machine so it fits a friendlier catagory.
