Custom wheel screw up.

I bought a pair of custom laced (Talon hubs, Excel rims) wheels thru a local vendor from a California company. The front is pulled about 1/4" to the right. I did not see this until tire and wheel was mounted.
The rear came wider than I ordered. I accepted it and bought a tire to suit. Upon mounting this on the bike I found the centre stand cannot retract due to width of tire. I scratched the rim when mounting the tire.
I need advice. I want the front corrected to centre and the rear replaced with the proper size. Is it reasonable to bring these back and demand correction? Who pays for shipping to California? Where do I stand?

centering the front is simple, I can give you details on how to do it.

For the rear, simply offset it to give clearance for the kickstand(its the same process as centering the front)

The vendor should be willing to sort this for you if you're not capable yourself

What bike are we talking about?

In the rear situation,, did you order a 4.25 and received a 5in?

Ok, the front I'm not super concerned about, just annoyed. It's more of a timing thing, I wanted these on for my upcoming trip. I may just take you up on the offer in the fall when things slow down. Thanks.

The factory rear is 3.5x17 + 130/80 tire which I wanted to replace with 3.5x17 but in Talon/Excel +140/80 tire. They sent 4.25x17 and I mounted 150/70 tire. Eyeballing it, the wheel would need to be moved substantially to clear the centre stand, maybe even so much that the tire would rub the chain. I would prefer the wheel exactly inline with what came from factory even if that means modding the c-stand. More than that I would like the 3.5 rim I originally ordered.

Due to overwhelming public interest......and after some overblown histrionics, online and meatspace, we're finally on track to get this sorted out. Wheel company admitted building wheels to incorrect specs and "will do everything blah blah and so forth to remedy the situation". This has cost me a lot of time and effort. Maybe I should just buy generic prebuilts like Ducatis and whatnots.

Nobody is perfect........and in today's day and age its nice to see a vandor making sure to fulfill his obligations. After sale serivce is key. We can buy the same products from a million different places with the internet nowadays....it's the people that make the sale painful or painless. You should at the very least let him make one good attempt at correcting his mistake.

Yes thanks. I'm hopeful. This has been a long and trying process from first inquiry forward. I've noticed, over the years, a certain type of overly optimistic vender who will tell you anything to keep you hooked in rather than let you slip away to a competitor. Rather than say "we're not ready with that product or service" they just keep buying time. All along, their website and other communications indicate it's all a go.
What I've gone thru I will never be compensated for. Nothing has been offered.
