custom ear plugs - where can I get some at a reasonable price

Looking for the custom ear plugs like the ones they make for you on-site at the bike shows. Cannot find the vendors names for the bike shows.

I am in Mississauga but willing to travel in GTA to get some made.

Check out surefire ear plugs. They are under $20 and have a few diferent models.
Lebaron has them in stock, I forget which model mane but the have the foam plug on the end.

I've got the ep3 and the ones lebaron carries. Both are good enough for loud outdoor noises but not quite enough for indoor. I'm sure they are enough for your bike.

I had custom earplugs made but have gone back to Hearos blue foam ones. Maybe I got the wrong filters in my custom ones but the Hearos cut out way more noise and are more comfortable.

Any audiologist, and only audiologists, will be able to mould up some good ones (100% silicone). If you want the cheap plastic ones like they make at the bike show, then I dunno.

I heard Costco might have good rates on those.. Another plug for surefire but EP4.. Bought from North Trail Sports http://www.northtrailsports.com/m14....html?osCsid=eac244845066655fee663fdc4e63622e I use them when I go shooting. Perfectly fine for rimfire even indoors, need to double-plug for centerfire though. Should be more than ok for riding - they block out "loud" noise but you can still hear normal conversation. Mediums are ok for most people

I have the custom ones, I believe I have the vendors card at home. I'll post the info when I get home

i had custom silicon ones done at the bike last year and love them...can't remember the company name but the contact is elektra and her number is 905-252-2690...i think they were around $60...

Nu-Life does them out in Bowmanville apparently -- I'm likely going to check them out in the near future as my right ear is a PITA (I can get a foam plug in my left ear in 10 seconds, but the right ear takes 5 mins and it still falls out or doesn't seal 50% of the time).

EDIT: Apparently they are also in Thornhill as well.

thanks, NuLife is the company I am looking for. I have a set of their plugs and they work great, now need a set for my girlfreind

You can DIY earplugs if you're cheap...

RADIAN kits are available at outdoor stores like Bass Pro and SAIL or....

Go to Micheals and buy "EasyMold Silicone Putty"

Mix/knead the two parts together... Press into ear... Let set... Done

For $30 you'll have enough of the stuff to make plugs for yourself and all your friends.

custom plugs are a waste of money. cheap foam ones work better. just get noise reduction rating 33 ones. it is the highest rating anyways. there's a reason motogp racers like rossi wear these cheap foam ones.

as a matter of fact, i have some for sale. packs of 20 for $10. these will last you awhile! use one pair a month then throw em out

fyi if anyone is considering customs from Nu-Life, they have a promo for May (sent it to me when I emailed them for info & pricing):

I couldn't upload the PDF with rollovers as it was too large, but the big difference between the first two types is the first is the usual type of custom plug, and the second has some sort of valve that only blocks higher frequency sounds.

My custom plugs are more comfortable, better at noise attenuation, easier to use, and - if I use them long enough - cheaper than foamies. Have you even tried them?
