I would love to go in am sportbike but the stupid spec tire thing wont work for me. I blew an engine last year hoping to go in so I wont get my hopes up this year

why is the spec tire a problem?

^ For riders who have a sponsorship relationship with another tire company ... it's an issue.

For riders who have done all of their bike set-up with a different brand of tire ... the differences in how the tires behave can be an issue at that level of riding.

Sorry to say but no national for me and if we don't go back to work soon (elevator mechanics are on strike in Ontairo) then I may only be able to do a few regionals too. I was really looking foreward to a full reagional season and two nationals but life doesn't always co-operate

And with regards to the tires, even I noticed a difference immidiatly between the Pirelli slick and a Dunlop (needed more rear ride height with the Dunlop).
