cruiser rates for under 25 rant

So I finally had a chance to ride the yamaha bolt, and now its making me want to sell my bike now and save up for it next. My only problem is that insurances are killing me once again on its rate. Ive been really interested in switching over from 600cc sportbike/touring to cruiser now since I love the relaxing feeling of riding them, plus I love the bobber style look.

I called a couple of insurance companies for the bolt, iron 883, and nightster, and i feel I got some crazy rates for it. theyre charging me 3100/yr for the 2014 bolt, 3700/yr for the 07 iron 883 and 4500/yr for the 07 nightster

I know harley and yamaha are trying go for the younger crowd with those bike but its so hard to get them when insurance rates are just so high. granted im only 23 but I was at least expecting for a lower price figure since Ive been insured for 3 yrs and im switching to a cruiser from a sport touring bike 06 zzr600

I guess Ill have to wait till next yr when Im 24 and hopefully give me a different rate. I really dont want to wait another 2 years

Do you qualify for State Farm? Give Katherine a call 1-866-930-1221, tell her Crazy Jamie sent ya. If you qualify she'll give you a way better rate than you've been getting so far!!

statefarm will rape him. He'll be paying liter bike insurance for bikes like the sportster and bolt.

I'm sure you've tried every place you could think of, but if you haven't tried Riders Plus, give them a call. I must have called 50 places before I finally called them. They were the cheapest by far!

pretty sure they don't insure under 25.

Just pony up and take it with a smile...
I'm paying 2500 on a 250 5th year riding.

so far, Ive gotten quotes from primmum and intact, both just killing me with there rates with Primmum being a bit cheaper than intact. im eligible to go with state farm, but I know they just look at CCs and I would just get killed. Ill try Riders Plus since Ive got nothing to lose. I will also try to contact TD meloche since my parents are with them. I was told I can have a policy under my name but in there file as long as im given consent.
