How difficult is it to bring a track bike from the US into Canada? Does any tax need to be paid?
I am thinking of picking up a CBR 600RR trackbike from the US as the prices are amazing!!

Very easy process if you have all your paperwork in order before you cross.

Here is the govt link with info and forms.

Why do I need to go though riv.ca? This bike will never be registered, it is track use only.

there are about 100000 different threads on this subject available on this site telling you exactly what you need to bring the bike across.

I just did this in March.
You come to the border, and declare the bike as parts. Have your bill of sale in hand.
You have no intention of rebuilding the bike, you bought it to strip it down.

You pay tax + $70 fee.

My bad, I posted this late last night after getting excited about seeing a 2003 CBR600RR trackbike with spares for $2500 in the US.
