So 4 weeks ago I had a run in with a curb and a guard rail and was in critical condition. I now feel amazing after only four weeks. So naturally i am getting more excited about returning to the road on my 600 when i fix the very minor problems that happened as a result of the crash. By the way if anyone has a left side engine cover or mirrors or signals i could get off you for my '94 Katana 600, pleeeeease message me. But after having this experience (i hope never to have again) i've become very interested in other peoples crash stories. So if you have any good ones, post them. I know i've learn some tips from some of the stories i've heard. Hopefully others can too from these stories here:)

What to learn from my crash, try to stay conscience so you can remember what the **** happened.

my last crash i high sided in a left hand corner, flew off the bike the bike, i remember sliding on the street i seen the bike in the corner of my eye it was upside down at that point, then i slid into a ditch and the ****in bike came in the ditch right after me and hit me, i swear it was ****ed up, i didnt break any bones, only the bike, but i couldnt really walk for 4 days and my left knee still hurts after 9mnths i still cant bend it all the way back, But my buddy that was riding behind me said it was interesting to watch happen

I remember doing 250 km h on the 401, hit a timmies truck from behind, went straight through the truck, exited the front with a double double and an apple fritter, it was scary, and satisfying at the same time. :)

lmao no no, i am the 16 year old that crashed on missisauga rd.

Well, I crashed about a week ago. Me and my buddy were riding around for about 3 hours and were on our way home. There was three lanes (hwy 7), and we just stopped at a light. We were in the middle lane. The light turns green and we go my buddy got in the right lane so i followed him but then I saw that the lane was ending. He was ahead of me so he switched in the middle lane and i was gonna follow behind him, and thats when it got ****ed up.

There was a car infornt of me and one infront of my friend. The car infornt of me saw that the lane was ending and tried to switch lanes but the mother****er in the middle lane(which was the car that was infront of my buddy) wouldnt let him thorugh . The car infornt of me slammed on the brakes, the car infront of my buddy slammed on the brakes. I heard my friends brakes screetch, started to brake myself and must of pulled in the front brake to fast and low sided. There was gravel on the ground that saved me from highsiding.

I can honestly say it happened so fast that the next thing I was looking at was my bike sliding. I was wearing a sweater, a backprotector and gloves and I SWEAR as soon as i hit the gorund I thought to myself, **** im not wearing any gear I could get really hurt right now. But THANK GOD I came out with a couple bruises and a scratched knee.

Mavelick, I read about the crash a couple days ago and was praying you recover soon. I'm really glad to hear you're well and good. Please ride safe. Be careful out there..

Yeah, that is great news to hear!! I wish i was 16 again haha, its like being made of rubber :)

Glad your feeling amazing!

as a newb, i followed an obviously more experienced rider onto an on-ramp for the 400.
it didn't end nicely.

i'm not sure of the details, but i didn't know (at the time) how to make the bike turn harder at that speed, panicked and may have hit the rear brake from instinct (cager).

next thing i know, i'm sliding on my back across the grassy bull horn and come to a rest in the middle lane of the 400 southbound. I figure i'm dead, and everyone who told me i was crazy for wanting to ride a motorcycle was right.

just at that moment, i look to my left in time to see my motorcycle come and slam into my left leg.

thankfully, there was little traffic on the 400 at that time.

more surprised than in pain that i was still alive, i stood up, and immediately realize i've worn a hole in my left knee (the denim fluffed off like dust) and the top of my left running shoe and i've dislocated my left big toe downward. I manage to pick up the bike and roll it onto the shoulder, noticing the blood running down my leg and pooling in my shoe. i manage to pop my big toe back into place with only a few fireworks going off in my eyes and think: dayum!

as soon as i could afterwards, i went out and bought proper riding boots, kevlar re-inforced jeans and signed up for FAST.

my left leg was sore for about 3 months after that.

Went into a turn a bit too hot, leaned the bike and scrapped the peg...guess I panicked and hit the rear brake.
Fixated at curb and you know the rest.

Flew over the curb and i flew/slide and barrel rolled a good 40 feet.

Thank goodness I was wearing my 2 piece or I would have been toast.

Only damage I got was a tiny bruise on my ankle :)

Cant say the same for the bike lol.

Thanks Guys! Yeah i'm feeling almost 100% again. Its bugging me cuz i believe i could get back on now but i know not to so i don't make it worse and end up blowing the rest of the season i will have left.

And Wow some of these crashes sound similar to mine but you guys are coming out with BRUISES!!! LUCKY!!! But i guess i should remember that i was extremely lucky having 11 broken ribs, broken clavicle, collapsed/punctured lungs, torn spot on liver, banged up knee (not sure 100% on the injuries on it. Doctors were saying ton ligaments, but i was walking on it with no pain a week later). Ride safe everyone!

I was riding in November on my Venture Royale (aka Boat) at night doing 80k when after passing an intersection some clown in a pickup who just turned onto the road ahead of me cut me off in the fast lane. I remember the blinker flashing, locking both tires and hitting his rear drivers side bumper. I launched over the fairing, he had nothing in the truck bed by the way, and landed about 20' in front of his truck. Lucky for me he stopped and didn't run me over. I landed on my shoulder blade which cracked and was fine! Until the truck driver said lets pick your bike up. I was still dazed from the crash and lifted the 850lb bike up and heard a pop... That was my collar bone dislocating. 2 months in a special arm sling and the bike was a loss. The oaf even lied to the cops saying he was in the lane the whole time when I hit him. Oh yeah? Doing 20k in the fast lane of a 4 lane 80k road??

Glad your recovering well, get back on that horse..

I bumped my rear bumper trying to duck walk my bike between the car, and a wall as I was parking. Needless to say, the sudden jolt induced a flashing of my life before my eyes, and damn for the first time -in a long time - I could remember the faces of most of the girls I've slept with. The bike, however, was unrideable until I moved it out of the parking spot.
