Crash Damage repair

I posted another thread for an electrical gremlin I was having and finally resolved this week, and then this morning I got taken out by a left-turner. The damage is relatively minor so I will try to repair it, if the insurance company lets me that is. Not sure what the deal them will be as I only have liability.

The total damage is
-Hole in right side crank case cover
-bent handlebar and brake lever
-cracked plastic rear fender
-snapped off right riders footpeg
-misaligned front wheel/forks

And some pics of the scene, we got my bike outa the way real quick

I'm glad you're OK and hope everything with insurance works out. Sorry to hear you have to go through this. :(

sounds like a relatively easy repair however your insurance will most likely total it
when, and if, they do, you should have the option to purchase the bike back, however it will now have a salvage title

you'll have to repair it and get it safety tested again for it to be deemed road worthy, after which you'll have a 'salvage brand' on the title

in order to give a proper estimate on the cost, you'll have to post the model of the bike

It only needs about $600 in parts to get everything back together, the only thing I need to talk to a mechanic about it getting the forks and wheel realigned as they got a bit messed up, but not bad enough to need replacing luckily, TBH if they want to do the salvage title dance I might just the bike go
On a side not anybody have experience getting helmets covered by insurance? My two month old arai is all scratched up also :(
I am not at fault for the accident if that makes a difference

If they brand it "irreparable" (there is no salvage) then file an appeal. If there is no frame damage and the cost to repair it isn't "excessive" the MTO will unbrand your ownership. See this post for the secret sauce.

They will cover your helmet, clothing/gear, gloves, boots, etc. etc.

Yep. Didn't even question me. Asked what gear I was wearing. I told them and still also had my receipts but I didn't even need to send them in. They asked for the models of it all and I was told go buy it new and they will reimburse me. Very hassle free.
