Case 1) A woman accuses a guy of a crime and her name is protected but his gets spread out like peanut butter. If she turns out to be delusional there is still a trail to his name. The old "Where there's smoke there's fire".

Case 2) A 2 year old is slapped around at a licensed day care and the parents are buffaloed by children's aid as to who did what, no charges are laid and they can't find out any names or details.

Any hypocrisy?

Kudos to the worker that reported it to the CA, something the management should have seen and handled.

That is the point. Even the parents can't get the details when their kid was apparently assaulted by a daycare worker.

If you threw around a female your name would not be protected even if you were yet to be convicted. One would think the standards would be higher for a daycare worker.

We discuss this with Gomeshi trial. If they say unnamed women (party a) then the innocent (until found guilty) guy (party b) should also remain nameless.
Only release the accused name IF convicted...common sense but then again 2 sets of rules one for her and the other for her.
