Cost of wheel painting?

Hi there,

I'd like to bring my old Ducati wheels back to original. The OEM is a tricky colour with an almost matte clearcoat.

Any idea approximately how much I'm looking at for both rims?

Desired finish:

Yup - I'd suggest powder coating as well.
If you know your Ducati model - try looking up or contacting a dealer to see if they know what that exact colour paint code is.

From there I'd contact a few local powdercoating places to see what they suggest.
Most places will be able to provide a catalog of powders/finishes they can deal with based on their supplier...
For e.g. the place I used dealt with: Powder Coating Projects & Ideas | Project Gallery | Prismatic Powders

I agree

I'm going to guess 5-6 for both rims to be PC (with tires off and bearings out).

I had mine done for 400, but that was about 8 yrs ago

Thanks JZ and Wingboy. I didn't realise that!

I have this as a guide (Bronzo Met Opaco)

Which Ducati is it for ... ? ? ?

If it's something rare or special, I can't see a good, undamaged set of wheels showing up that cheaply, if at all.

It's a '95 916.

Here she is a few minutes ago. PO thought it was a good idea to polish the wheels down to bare aluminum...
