Coolant smell normal?

I've noticed sometimes when I'm stopped at a light or moving slowly I can smell coolant. It's usually not too bad but occasionally smells fairly strong before dissipating. This has been the case with every bike I've owned (3 so far).I don't see any leaks so I figure it's just fumes from the coolant vent hose but thought I'd ask around to see if it's normal. You guys smelling this?
 
Yup. Check for leaks and monitor coolant level.
 
Well the overflow bottle is vented....so everytime your bike gets hot....there is movement in the overflow to a degree...perhaps that's what you are smelling.

You can vent the overflow into another catch bottle as well....
 
Appreciate the replies guys. Coolant overflow reservoir looks fine and I don't detect any leaks so I'm hoping it's normal to be able to smell the fumes. And yes it does seem to happen when the bike is running hot. The main reason I'm not worried is because I've smelled this on all 3 bikes I've owned so unless it's a Honda thing...
