Contour Roam 1.01 firmware - for hacking to 60fps

Plug the camera into your pc, unhide all files. Theres a text file that's in the root folder. You can edit that.
 
Unless you have that firmware any updates to get 60fps are useless. If you find it let me know!
 
no no no, any roam with current firmware can not be turned to 60 fps.

hence the need to downgrade from 1.1 to 1.01.

its just the firmware file is being targeted by Contour wherever its posted LOL.

they know they ****ed up and want to hide the ability to make their awesome camera even better...
 
thanks for the firmware...this camera is so amazing now

if anyone else has a ROAM and wants to make it better:

1.01 firmware install (look up how on google)
put RES:D ----this allows 720p/60 (thats not a happy face, its RES FULL COLON D)
LSR:0 ----turns on the laser again, 1.01 turns it off for some reason


Next trick that works, since these settings are saved on the SD card:
Make 1 SD car your primary Video card and turn the file on the root to READ ONLY
Make the other SD card your Photo card, select READ ONLY.

now label the cards and you just put one in, forces camera to Photo mode, the other forces to 720p/60 video mode.
now you dont need to hookup android phone or connect to windows to change shooting mode.

Amazing!
