Hi guys

I decided to scratch some itch tonight and rode down to the Scarborough bluffs. By the time I came back up to Finch, I noticed that my balls were frozen.. Thawing them out at the moment

I tried to shield it mj style during the ride but that didnt prove to be too safe :p

does anyone double up on the undies or what other solutions be there?

I went out for the ride today, didn't last too long because unlike you I left my balls at home! ;)

Jacket with liner, moisture wicking long sleeve, another long sleeve, thermal long sleeve, long john's and I was fine today lol

Wait wait... the guy is asking about crotch, and you're telling him about a bunch of long sleeves... What do you put those sleeves on???

Get a ducati. Guaranteed you'll be roasting those chestnuts in no time.

Frozen or numb? If the latter, doesn't have to be caused by cold.. could just be a bad seating position (had this on the road bike a few times, was an uncomfortable seat).

The former, get some thermals to wear. Great for cold weather riding.

Us, stallions, don't need to explain where we use long sleeves...

OP, maybe try some wind briefs, which are available at the Running Room. MEC might have something similar.

Although I don't use mine while riding (my riding pants seem to be ok in cold weather), I do use my wind briefs while jogging in the winter. They are a life/balls saver and and have kept me comfortable down to -30 C (in Ottawa).

Tuck 'em down between the tank and your seat - - - on the plus side, it'll ensure your throttle and brake inputs are very smooth.

I've rode in the negatives and never had much issue with my junk freezing. Not sure how you can accomplish this...

Just grab some roadkill you find, possums are a good size, stuff in front of crotch, warm as toast.

To add to Mikbusa's response, be sure it's fresh roadkill. Stuffing old/cold roadkill in your crotch is wrong.

Of course, if the whole possum fits you have a "bigger" problem.

I have had this same thing happen on my Bandit on really cold days, but also notice this immediately after a fill up if I am sitting too close to the tank. Fuel temp is corrected to 15 c and you can feel the fuel temp through the steel tank if you sit too close. Same thing happens when the temps drop. The fuel gets colder and you can feel it through the steel tank. Might just be your bike.
