Closest Near Miss Ever....

=(... im sure all of us living in GTA we're "Cagers" from time to time. (winter) but its pretty disgusting how some people drive so recklessly =\.
 
How the hell do you not spin around and chase that guy?I sure couldn't have that happen and then laugh about it!

Because if you chased every near miss you would be doing nothing but chasing and raging. Yes that was an incredibly close call, but that happens daily on different levels.

Chasing and raging is not going to teach them a lesson, and will probably just make the situation worse. Smile, your alive.
 
Very close - one reason I tend to hug the outer edge on blind cresting hills up in the Escarpment area - too many cagers come over them in the middle of the road. Sometimes even on the straight the idjits wander out of their lane - two or three lately - pickups with driver on a handheld..totally not paying attention..... :(
 
I had a really close call just a couple weeks ago last month... I was exiting the parking lot of Cycle World in Scarborough and an older guy blasted out of the tiny laneway coming out of the storage lot in the back and almost slammed into my front right wheel... by the time he had slowed down to NORMAL parking lot speeds he was well past my car. It's a blind corner around the building and there was absolutely no way I could have seen him. It's a good thing his bike was obnoxiously loud chopper and I was rolling on my brakes....

This made me rethink riding...

Exact thing happened to me today. ****'n lady was on her cell n pretty much came around the corner n came way into my lane....luckily I was paying attention or else I prolly wouldn't be writing this...she would've hit me head on...couldn't turn
Around cuz I had a bunch of traffic behind me..

things like this just make me wanna park the bike...beautiful days bring out the worst drivers.
 
I wouldn't blame that guy for needing to change his briefs after that close encounter!

Here's my own damn-that-was-close! moment. Just FF to 2:09 in the vid. In was partially my own fault. I shouldn't have been hugging the line when I know people often drive over it there.

Damn after seeing nothing but pickups in these videos no wonder why they are on your "lists". Too many people have big trucks and don't need them and can't handle the size. But, this is one pickup driver that is very bike friendly!
 
This guy should buy a lottery ticket!
