Close call ... glad to be here and typing

Looks like Brian was lucky that the cager took off really slowly. If he was in a hurry and floored the throttle it might have been a very sad day.

Wasn't all that slow. One of the things that drew attention to the van as it approached the stop sign was that it was approaching a little faster and braking a little later than most people. Looked like the driver was in a hurry.

This could very easily have turned out differently. Half a second different timing and it may not have been avoidable.
 
Caught up to him, and he signalled right the moment he saw me approaching from behind, stopped, and rolled down the window. No issue. He knew he screwed up and was very apologetic. Didn't give attitude or anything of the sort.
