Cleaned carbs and now bike won't start at all

So I cleaned the carbs last night and blew out the jets. Put everything back together and come out this morning to see if it fixed my bike not being able to start without the throttle/choke. I flipped the gas tank to Prime and hit the starter so the float bowls would fill with gas. Bike never starts, starter begins to sound sluggish and then it makes a rapid clicking noise. Never held the starter down for more than 3-5 seconds.

Video of the sluggish starter and then the rapid clicking noise: http://youtu.be/qnUNy47Vq3I

The rapid clicking is you battery dead. Pull it out and charge it up.

+1...

saw the vid and it battery alright.....after the recharge, try giving it some gas too when starting....

Better to replace it? Don't think its ever been replaced and the bike is 8 years old.

just charge it...if it holds it holds....you might get another season out of it

Charged the bike and it runs, but it won't stay running without the choke or me giving it throttle. Looks like it just won't idle and every time I disengage the clutch when coming up to a stop it just dies. Could this be idle mixture related? I reset the screws when I took the bike apart.

From what you have said it sounds like your problem is in the idle circuit. The "idle mixture" is part of the idle circuit.

ok now if your battery is lower than 9 vdc when you are cranking the stater motor your cdi wont fire the spark plugs, so use jumper cables from your car to save your bike battery (still hooked in the bike). in the prime postion gas will flow without the engine turning over so your getting fuel, you got spark, it should fire up with the choke, cold start, but if it doesnt, you will have to re do your carbs again.
