Chinesium Harley on the way ?

It's funny enough as it is watching the HD faithful do mental gymnasics about their "Murican' Built" bikes when in reality more and more of the parts are themselves are made overseas, they'll have to move up to Olympic level gymnastics over this whole thing.

Then again, this bike isn't aimed at the boomer segment of HD anyways, and the segment it is aimed at won't give a crap where it was made...but sitll.

Harley had 500cc around for a while. Don't know if they are built offshore or not
The Street 500s and 750s were manufactured in India and some assembled in the U.S.
Gone and not terribly missed, but they were getting closer with the 750 Street rod before it was axed.

Yup, I'm betting the pirates will get their knickers in a knot same as they did with the Street 500s and 750s and the Aermacchis before that.

If the contract holder specifies a certain level of quality, that's what will be delivered by the Chinese plants. Harley could very well manufacture MORE reliable bikes at the same cost compared to domestic production, but instead will likely choose to maintain the current "quality" level to save money. So I don't expect these bikes coming out of China to be any less reliable than the current lineup.

The street 500s should become collectible fast , then you could get .08 cents on the dollar for your investment. Well done HD .

If they are cheap enough, I'll buy one just to park at the local Timmis on Saturday mornings.

Just for the fun of jousting with real HD owners.

Evan cheap it almost doesn’t stand a chance against the ‘image’ and ‘Americana’ of HD.

No good reviews, reliability, or any positive will help much because of how it’ll be branded by the ‘faithful’.

Looks good from the pics.

According to article HD is saying it won’t see the US market…so it may have a chance…

Paint it blue, lower the price and rebadge it as a Suzuki and it would be a decent bike.

A really bad idea that is so off-brand that it could only have been thought up by a shoe salesman who believes the branding value trumps the product.
Same guys that named a bike Blast ( Be Last )?????
