Wait, are the jackstands holding up the bike by the inverted pegs? That's more daring than cheap.
This is a proven method, last time I needed to do this I used bricks on one side and a jack lift on the other (suspension swap) pegs will hold.
No I was not drunk(maybe a beer) and did not just decide to take my wheels off for a GTAM pic...I am way too lazy for that.
By cheapest, I mean doing the labor yourself by taking off the wheels from the bike and driving them to the shop, only to have the shop use their fancy machine. (I also like to tension my chain, install my brakes myself, and lube my axle, gives me a peace of mind)
Right on, if it works, then great. A rear stand isn't that expensive, will make working on the bike easier too. Next step, doing your own tire swaps, it's quite satisfying.
