Hi, I originally made this thread to ask if anyone knows the torque specs for a friend's bike, I'm changing his tires this week. I have the torque specs now, for the fun of it I've modified this thread to to invite anyone else to ask or post the torque specs needed for their own bikes for taking off and putting on their rims. It's important to torque the axle right, and they vary by alot from bike to bike.
Please post torque specs from service manuals, not opinions. I will try to add whatever people contribute to this first posting so they are all in one place. Please note inch-pound and foot-pound.
**Small note: My in-lb wrench maxes out at 250, my ft-lb wrench goes as low as 25. For the in-between values I personally just max out my in-lb wrench rather than go over.
Corrections are welcome, please back them up with pics/screenshots of the manual in question, unless anyone else can suggest a better way to verify?
