CBRs master brake cylinder

Can I put a 900RR front master brake cylinder on a CBR F2? Are the banjo bolts and fittings the same?

Yup and likely the same part anyway :)

O really? I was reading the 900RR masters are bigger than the F2 masters. I want to improve the braking power.

As for my question I looked up the banjo bolt part numbers up to the 954 and they are the same.

With the calipers the same, a larger diameter master cylinder will make for a stiffer lever with less travel. A smaller diameter master cylinder will give a softer lever with more travel. The amount of stopping power you have won't neccessarily be better but your feel for the brakes will be different.

Yep, I'm just going by anecdotal evidence that in the end the brakes feel better with the larger master.

Can someone name some good brands and sources for steel braided lines? I really don't want to take a chance here.

Found this galfer kit on eBay http://bit.ly/ZvRghA . Not sure if it's legit.

Thanks. Local business is first on my list.

Now can someone school me on brake pads? This bike won't see track, but it will see twisty roads with 2 people and camping gear.

Will Double-H Sintered Brake Pads eat my rotors? Would OEM be best all around choice?

Johnny testifies that oem are the best. I've used ebc hh & haven't noticed much of a difference. An old dude told me he've raced with organic pads. Organic pads are easier on rotors

Oke so I got APEX lines and I am getting cold feet. $62 with swivel head. I wanted to give this local guy a shot. I would have gladly paid 2X for stainless steel quality hardware.

The banjo bolts have different size holes. One of them has rust. The lines look good but but dunno what to expect.

On pads. If you like hard initial bite with little lever pressure see if they make Vesrah RJL for your bike. Work equally well cold or hot, scary initial bite, lots of stopping force, talking like pinky finger stoppies :)

Sounds great for the track or twisties...not so much for intersections or parking lots with sand or painted lines :)
