Hey all,

For those of you who haven't seen my project, here are some links:

I was out at Mosport Race Track not too long ago, and someone got interested in my bike sitting next to another CBR125.

We stated talking about ways to reduce vibrations and he thought it was really cool how I have rubber washers between the handlebar clamp and the triple clamp. He also told me that if I filled the inside of the handlebar with something soft that it would reduce vibrations even more.

He said filling it with sand it will work, but using buckshot works the best. Is there anything else I could fill it with? I'm curious what other options I have before I take the bar-ends off and fill 'er up. How well does it even work?

You could try BB's, probably cheaper then buckshot :)

Use insulation spray foam, works great.

use a silicone / BB mix. The silicone will hold the BB's in blace so they are not bouncing around inside your bars, and the BB's will add the weight to help reduce vibrations.

That was me, lol.

I like the spray foam idea. Thought about that one myself; good to know it works. Good tip Sircastic.

That rubber "BarSnake" looks awesome... it seems like the most promising to me. Spray foam sounds great too, but I don't know how heavy it would be... never used it before.

I may try a few different things, but I filled it up with sand yesterday and it seems to be fine for now. I noticed it also improves the handling significantly, because it adds about 5-10lbs to the bars and stabilizes the slight speed wobble that you get from geometry of the tiny little 125.
