Defund the CBC.
I like the US model for PBS and NPR. Canada pumps more than double into our public broadcaster, over a billion dollars.
For what?
A friend in T.O. and Yannick are neighbours. Ride MTBs in the Don together regularly. Other than that one quirky but entertaining show, the CBC sucks balls.
I see Murdoch filming around Hamilton a bit , and TO . I like to try and guess where they are on TV .
I really dug the Tesla electric car episode and discovering chicken wings in Buffalo , between that and Corner Gas there is nothing .

CBC actually turned down Corner Gas...
... and CTV picked it up instead.
The most popular show next to Hockey Night in Canada.

What about Rosemary Barton? She's a stunner.
Glad someone from CBC came out and said it. The website was getting especially bad. Sometime last year there was a parenting article about "keeping up with the times" and learning about gender (all 63 of them) from your kids, then another about how problematic men are out there but there's still hope for the future of boys, then another about coping with pandemic-related separation anxiety in your pets... All on the homepage mind you, critical news for the public in these trying times.
Years ago, when I had Sirius XM, I'd listen to CBC Radio on long drives and found some of the content interesting and educational. Still half decent or has it gone to sh!t recently too?

Actually, during the height of the pandemic in 2020, they would have clips of other kids and how they dealt during the pandemic. My son related to those.
As for other adult shows or news...don't watch.

I do listen the CBC radio , both 1 & 2 . Great radio comedy and political sarcasm , educational interviews and still the place for CanCon if you want a chance to hear new alternative artists .
Now you will occasionally have to listen to some throat singers and indigenous poetry readings , and some quiet horrible hiphop in French .
But if you wade through the crap there is a lot of good.
Just dont listen to Dave Suzuki interviews, and other Canadian eco vampires.
