i know they are half-worthless.. but i want to run an ex-american car just to see if any redflags....
Used it to get the FULL report on a car once. Dealer only had the "cheapie" option. I ran the report then actually spoke to the Customer Service at CarFax who explained all the details. Car was bought at Auction in Laval, Quebec and then put on more that 2,500kms before up for sale in Ontario. Dealer couldnt explain the KMs other than it was "driven back to the GTA".
I figured it was used as a daily runner for the dealer or something and stayed away from it because dealer wasnt telling 100% truth IMHO. Yeah, cost me money, but worth looking into.
Its also interesting to see who owns the cars or have leins on them.
2500km is a lot of test drives! i wouldn't worry about that... salesman probably used it as his daily driver for a month or so while tying to sell it.
good call on the googling - I already found the ad from 3 years ago when car was for sale.. but nothing bad yet
Quite the opposite, actually.Well, I would actually worry about it. Dealer's daily runners get raped like no tomorrow.
Quite the opposite, actually.
