...see thats the Catch 22 with the Politicans. They have to have fear mongering to have a soap box to stand on and a further their career. Gun violence and crime in general have always been a "go to" political soft point.
But if they do get elected they have to lower it, otherwise they look like idiots....
So even though population has risen and violent gun crime has been lowered, these shmucks still use it to induce fear.
