Cancelling insurance

I recently switched to Meloche Monnex from Jevco. MM costs me ~$1400, Jevco would have been ~$1700. This summer I might ride to BC. If I go on the trip I want to ride my old CBR F2. Currently I have my KTM SMC insured with MM. When I was looking in to doing this trip I was with Jevco. The CBR being so old is considered a regular bike with them. It would have cost me just as much as the KTM. I could have just switched insurance for the summer. I forgot to check with MM when I switched how much would the CBR cost to insure. Now I found out it's ~$2800. Funny thing is that a Hayabusa would cost me the same.

What penalty can I expect from ins companies if I cancel MM in Jully and go back to Jevco? How will it affect my future quotes from MM?

Bonus question: what's the latest year Jevco considers sport bikes regular bikes? Blackbird ;) ?

Call TD as they do have a rating table. Majority of the premium is based on summer months so the amount they may keep would be something like this:

Feb - 0%
March - 5%
April - 10%
May- 10%
June - 20
July - 20% = 65% of your annual premium or $910.

Jevco standard bike is current year - 16 so 1996 or prior!

Not quite yet, 1996. One more year to go. Two more years and 1998 Hayabusa will be a non-sportbike. But Jevco is under new ownership so this may or may not even happen.
