Cool thanks for that. We’ve done the South Simcoe Santa steam train a few times which is… ok.
I suppose they are charging admission to Kelso during the time this is there?

Not sure. Never been to this event. Looks like there maybe some "performance" at the same time.

Might be worth a call to Kelso to inquire.

I think the Hamilton or Cambridge location might have more public (free) access.

Thanks! Only areas that make sense for us are Glen Eden and Hamilton so will have to plan something ahead of time.

I haven't been to this but I am reading on other groups that last year was a Sh!t show trying to get in.

People suggesting to leave NOW to get a spot.

Well I assume it'll be doing some drive in b/w locations so as long as one knows the route...there are plenty of people that stand by the train tracks outside of the organized events and just see it pass by.

Don't think it stops for too long.

I would assume you are right.
The question is. Is it all lit up while it's moving between the locations?

From the videos I’ve seen…yes. But who knows.

I’ll take the kids to see a train, then if it’s dark at least it’s less disappointment.

We walked by briefly last year when it stopped in Hamilton, as it's within walking distance from our house. It's not bad with kids, especially if they're into trains, but is a relatively brief show. They open the side of one car which becomes the stage for the performers.

That said, any parking within a 15 minute walk, lot or street was jammed full well in advance, so if you're thinking of attending, plan accordingly. (Or feel free to shoot me a PM if you want a spot in our driveway for the Hamilton stop.)
