Sucks.

New windscreen has been stuck there since Tuesday. My entitled self is not impressed. Why are such more complex bits and bobs I’ve been ordering not taking more then a day?

????

I think it is the luck of the draw. I ordered a camera from China. DHL. Here in 5 days, no extra charges. Like you, a couple of years ago ordered a windshield from the States. 3 weeks plus the tax. Normally, do not like to order anything from China. However, nothing else like it.

isn't it interesting (or just annoying) how some stuff just drifts through customs and some seems to get parked? I ordered some pullies from Italy and they showed up in 3 days , a new watch from Australia took 9 days and two winches from California (used product) took 5 days. A parcel from Montreal took 14 days ??

Some things you can't get here. I may or may not have picked up some herbicides from florida that Onterrible only allows on golf courses and public parks. If it's bad enough to be banned, why have exemptions for places where children and rich people play? Border is federal control so they don't give a crap what rules ontario has (theoretically, if such as order was placed).

Had the same thing happen a while back, a package sat in BC for a week. But honestly delievery companies are overloaded with orders, but this points to boarder services/customs etc.. so my gut is thinking our gov is failing to react.

Well the pullies are replacement parts for blocks made in Italy, there is no Canadian dealer, the watch I bought is made in Australia by Panzera , again they have no North American dealers, its a direct factory sale . The two winches from California ? well if you can find me two 25yr old used Barient #23 winches in a matt grey on the Canadian market I'll take 'em.
The parcel from Montreal was replacement parts for a machine (made in China) that the Hamilton dealer told me 'just order parts from the warehouse' , they are a PITA.

what's a guy to do ? LOL

2 weeks? Like 14 days from when the tracking number says the package was picked up?

Kids were looking forward to getting parcel filled with treats and snacks from my wife's family in Japan. When it arrived Canada Custom had opened a box of chips and dumped it back in. Everything was inside was greasy and smashed potato chips all over.
You won't be surprised if you saw some of the heifers that work there!
