Has anyone purchased a bike from Can-North Motors in Oakville?
I've been talking with John and just wanted to know some feedback on purchased bikes and salesmanship.

Thanks,

Rich

Yes, bought my cbr there in September 09. John is a good guy, knows his stuff, enjoyed the experience.
I was skeptical that the bike was 2 years old and only had 500 km on it, until I went to see it, it looked brand new.
He only seems to bring in ridiculously low mile bikes in really good condition. I'd buy from him again.

He seems like a good guy. Talked to him for awhile but just wanted to make sure about he's bikes. I'm eyeing a bike but just waiting for the right price. He gave me a price but still have to work the price more. Is your bike from the U.S.? He mentioned that most of he's bikes are from the U.S. So I asked about milege if it was in miles or km's (doesn't matter). He mention that he converts them to km's. He explained that it's only a few bottons to convert from one to another. Is this true and possible without changing the actual milege?

Yes, my bike was from the states as well, and is easily flipped between miles and km.

Speed and odometer yes. Temperature is also switchable from Celsius to Fahrenheit as well, and a CBR anyways.

I envy you, I can switch from Miles/Km's on both the speedo and the odo but the temperature, that I can't do!

I thought my cbr's temperature was unchangeable, but I figured it out...I'd have to go down and mess with it again, but if the speed and odo change so will the temp, just requires a different hold pattern.

My F4i just required me to hold one button to change speedo/odo to km. I'll check tomorrow if the temperature also flipped from F to C.

bought my 07 gsxr from him 2 seasons ago...great bike. John is a great guy, always great to talk too.

I bought my 2010 R6 from him this past May. He's a good guy, talks a **** load though lol. Only thing I was disappointed about was the fact he didn't budge even a penny on the price. Otherwise his bikes are mint and like mentioned above, majority of them are from the States.
