Can i pass tech at the track without the lock nut?

WTF! I wouldn't even ride that never mind at the track. Order a new one for a few bucks from the dealer.
 
It would and should fail tech. It's only a few dollars man, you really want that part on there.
 
anyone know the thread size? don't think the dealer will have it in time for when i need it.
 
Call some cycle salvage shops, I know it's a fine thread but that's all I can tell you. This didn't just fall off did it?
 
no idea, bought the bike like this. (track bike only)

Have to call my most hated shop that is down the street. zdeno's :(
 
I would go over that bike with a fine tooth comb. Was this brought to your attention or was it somthing you noticed?

So would I. We had a motor like that once for our endurance bike. At first glance it was all good. then stuff started falling off/out. Tore it down as much as we could in the pits, and there were all kinds of things wrong, loose, and not right. It could be they just swapped swingarms and either forgot to put it back on, or didn't torque it properly and it fell off. Either way, I'd be going over the rest of the bike with great scrutiny and checking every fastener and wear part. Make sure to also double check your suspension linkages, cause if someone was in there and didn't put it all back together properly it could be bad news bears.

And no, I would not pass that through tech.
 
I have a couple laying around as well. 04/05 GSXR but I think they are all the same for GSXR's. I am in Mississauga if that helps. I am around today(thurs) and tomorrow as well, free if you come get it. Cheers! PM if you want one.
